A Gift from Mothers to Daughters® Luncheon
New York, NY I September 26, 2011
On September 26, 2011 NOF hosted its 4th Annual A Gift from Mothers and Daughters luncheon at the Pierre Hotel in New York City. Nearly 200 guests were in attendance and more than $85,000 was raised as we honored leaders in women’s health and launched NOF’s Generations of Strength: A Mothers and Daughters Campaign.
Bestselling author and campaign National Honorary Committee Chair, Gail Sheehy, spoke of the importance of establishing an ongoing dialogue with those you love about osteoporosis prevention and your risk factors for the disease. The 9th International Symposium on Osteoporosis (ISO9), sponsored by the National Osteoporosis Foundation (NOF), is designed to provide the most current, clinically relevant and evidence-based information on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis. This is accomplished through in-depth educational sessions addressing primary and secondary osteoporosis, clinical considerations and therapeutics, socio-behavioral medicine, nutrition, education and emerging science.

May 21, 2011 ● The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
This first-time event will bring together nationally-recognized experts to address your questions about osteoporosis. The forum, which is free to registered participants, will open with best selling author and trusted authority on health, Jane Brody, New York Times columnist’s presentation Shaping Public Opinion About Osteoporosis. This presentation will be followed by a town hall style session Osteoporosis and You: Being a Savvy Healthcare Consumer.
